@zhang_heqing I have seen the first pictures yet.... Breathtaking! Hope for a long time of good Martian times.... 2021 started to be a good year for planetary expolartion.... Congratulations to all scientist, engineers and workers at CNSA for this marvelous scientific attribution!
@MarsZhurong Wauw............... Contratulations all workers of CNSA! She is driving around at her new home and sending back beatiful images! I have waiting for this.... Hope to see a lot more..... Love planetary exploration! This is good of great importance for the science community!
@zhang_heqing When can the science community expect to see some results from that data? For now the only we know is; 'The rovers has landed and is sending data back'... Maybe as a space-exploration lover I am too inpatient, but I also suppose China works different in sharing information.
@NASAPersevere If this a carrier would have compressors, it could compress CO2 and use that as thrusting fuel, when it is evaporated through heated tubes... Not much trust, though, but maybe enough to move around a bit.
@NASAPersevere@NASA: Did the backs hell and carrier have also filmed after separation with Perseverance? I was wondering whether it could be possible to set the carrier gently on the surface by using the remaining amount of fuel and study its landing site, maybe inside a dune-like landscape.
@NASAPersevere@NASA: This is movie is super great... If a mission used a lot of supers-mall cameras spread over a great surface, slowly lowering down and filming, it could map the Martian surface in great detail, or any planetary surface.
@NASAPersevere@NASA: Did the rover catch the noise while the thrusters where on? The speed of sound can be measured inside the Martian atmosphere, when the rotor blades start turning which can be compared with theoretical estimates.
@NASAPersevere@NASA: Can you implement an variable scaling-bar and 'height above the ground estimate' in the movie so we can estimate the size of objects in the frames of the movies? Would be great to do that as standard operation with the chopper and also for the dragon fly mission.
@NASAPersevere Wholy F***K, what an amazing video of Perseverance landing!!!!!! Breathless....... I suppose some people do not have the feeling that this is taken place autonomously and on an other planet. But it is!!!! And how great it is to see the Martian landscape move, when flying around.
@NASAJPL Why don't you make a temporarily chronological report, lets say, weekly, by web-page, and a video-report? From that you could build up a webpage with all kind of information, that people could use for more (scientific) in depth info!
@NASAJPL I miss somekind of a chronological documentary coverage, in where everything is explained. Not too scientific, but generally to understand for the great public, like you did in the EDL coverage. Al details can be found on the webpage.
@NASAJPL I love robotic space exploration.... What I, however, miss is good retrievable and summarized information about the progress of the mission according the all findings... On the web it is a mess upp, and even wikipedia is not complete.
