NatSec pro, Maker: tech focused, AI/drone swarm obsessed. 🇺🇲 loyal, married to FVEY family🇨🇦🇬🇧. Proud to serve all across the pol. spectrum, views mine.
Thesis statements for this acc't:
1) #Drone tech is poised to change warfare to a greater extent than the horse or firearm. #MilDevOps cycles can be measured in hours, not decades. (BTW, US != 'sleeping giant' anymore.) Tech is ready: just needs vision + drive. #hireme

I haven't been on this platform in a bit. Find me on LinkedIn primarily: https://t.co/nsETXwLf67
(But even there, sparsely. Building, selling, and leading - not much bandwidth to spare for talking in public.)
@ycombinator@bosmeny SplashOne is seed stage, a bit beyond YC incubation, but would love to lend our expertise to the conversation. This is a complicated field that requires expert knowledge of tech, market (competitors/buyers) - and critically, tactics (offense and defense).
LMK if I can help.
@RALee85 Apparently the nature of the drone is still secret.
The only way it makes sense is if it is a reusable interceptor which has a gun or EW payload which enables it to make multiple/repeated interceptions.
That's the future of interceptors, but I thought it would take more time.
@KtdSnav@CENTCOM This is the right direction, but we can do even better. My startup is building a solution to do it for the cost of a beer per kill (including fuel and maintenance costs for the launch platform.)
@David_Hambling Remember this comment when the expose comes out about just what Replicator did, or did not 'deliver.'
Spoiler: giving credit for 3,000 drones implies that those weren't going to happen regardless status quo ante, or that things actually 'delivered' in a complete package...
It is my mission to form a .@USMC Drone Racing Team - It will highlight skill in the refined sport aspect while familiarizing the FMF with potential of UAS capabilities to each specialty field during experimentation and training.
This is almost exactly what I proposed to @AFSpecOpsCmd in 2017: a forward-deployable unit of operator/engineers to observe/design/fix/build sUAS as close to the FLOT as possible. COM loved it, staff did not.
8 years on, we still don't have it. But our adversaries do.
A typical Russian field workshop located close to/at the frontline for drone repairs and assembly. Note also the 3D printers. Not clear if this is underground or not. For both sides, lots of tech modification and repair is happening right where the fighting is taking place. https://t.co/xShT1jHlg4
🚨Read it.
“The @USMC is the first service to launch an official U.S. Military Competitive Drone Team, co-led by Training Command and the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory”
➡️so awesome, have been advocating this for years and now it’s happening

@ABNATW01@RALee85 I started a company to do exactly that.
What we've learned so far is that getting to MVP is trivial, garage engineering stuff. But making something that's reliable and broadly effective is far more complex.
Stay tuned.
Drones shooting each other down is the inevitable future.
My startup seized on this quite a while ago.
Still in stealth but actively raising a pre-seed. DM for details or to get part of the action.
-are you suggesting the development of aerial robotics is tracking along a parallel, but much more rapidly evolving, path with early aviation
oh, and Douhet will always be wrong so do be like that
INNOVATIVE ‼️👇😵 The first cases recorded on video show Ukrainian "drones-shotguns" shooting down enemy "Mavics" in flight
Respect to FPV drones, this method allows the same drone to shoot several mavics... and reload!
