Texas public education is at a crossroads, and @TxEdStrategies is here to help.
Let’s improve academic outcomes and secure a brighter future for students.
The British Isles are beginning to remember what every civilization eventually remembers:
A government that cannot protect its people eventually loses the moral authority to govern them.
Everything that follows is just the timetable.
@Divided_W0rld@Tweetoleon Right.
@Keir_Starmer is pretending to keep children safe in cyber space (the reality is this is about digitally tracking every UK citizen in order to oppress them) while not even pretending to care about keeping young girls safe from Pakistani Muslim rape gangs.
Robert L. Woodson Sr. was a “community activist” who listened to communities. While elitists criticize and theorize about the poor, Mr. Woodson looked for successes, writes @jasonrileywsj

Tom Steyer keeps running around saying that it’s unfair that billionaires like him can buy our democracy, then spending hundreds of millions dollars to do just that, then failing to get elected, and then repeating all the same lines the next time around. It’s extremely funny.
WATCH: "We’ve heard this before—we’re on the cusp of a deal... But I think it’s important that we finish what we started here. Just any deal to end the war doesn’t mean that we have won the war. We must win, because I think if we don’t win, Iran comes out of this stronger. If they can close the strait up and wait out the West and count on us not having the patience to see things through, they’ll come out of here in a stronger place." @jasonrileywsj
With President Trump signaling a potential breakthrough by Saturday, the panel details why a rushed agreement that fails to dismantle Iran's nuclear program or curb Hezbollah's rocket attacks is a dangerous proposition for long-term global stability.
Nearly 11 million working-age American men are neither employed nor in school. Are they at greater risk of drug addiction?
Yes, @wkepner and @KeithNHumphreys find: after controls, prime-age "NEET" men are 2 and 3 times as likely to suffer from a variety of addictions compared to their in-work or in-school peers.

The CA Legislature tried to strike these words from the state constitution in 2020 (put there by Prop 209 in 1996). The voters smacked them down when 57.23% said NO—despite the YES campaign outspending the NO team by more than 14 to 1. Now they’re trying again—calling it a “clarification” instead of an effort to gut the provision’s application to public education. Don’t believe them. If approved by the voters, this would be a major change. The aim is to pave the way for the recommendations of California’s Task Force on Reparations. The Task Force wants to make college free to African Americans no matter how well off their parents are and to get school districts to fund individual schools based on the race of the students who attend.

OMG
Denver Public Schools Board just voted UNANIMOUSLY to DISMISS lgbtq teacher Jennifer Honka after she reportedly made female students kiss each other and graded them on it
What is going on in these schools?!
Patriots, please consider speaking at the TX State Board of Education next week to let them know you want and expect history in the classroom that is free from bias and propaganda!!
You should be asking @GregAbbott_TX and @MikeMorath why there is persistent racial disparity in academic outcomes after they’ve been in their respective offices for over a decade.
Black and Hispanic students average 26 points worse on the STAAR tests (all grades, all subjects) than White and Asian students.
By forcing players to promote political and religious beliefs that they disagree with on pain of discipline, @MLB is betraying a core tenet of American law and civic culture.
I will open an investigation if MLB fails to respond to my letter by June 25.
@elonmusk If education were about education, then this would immediately be taught in world history classes throughout the United States of America.
But education is about propaganda and maintaining political control.
@cslape@RemnantLaw@captivating_21 Texas superintendents are being told repeatedly that @GregAbbott_TX, @MikeMorath, and the #TxLege are intentionally destroying public education by refusing to go full woke and refusing to provide unlimited funding for them to waste outside of classrooms.
@cslape@RemnantLaw@captivating_21 This shows that good legislation at the state level is necessary but insufficient.
We absolutely must have good people on the school board ensuring the superintendent accords with the law, morals, and ethics - which is simply not happening in far too many Texas school districts.
