Went through 50+ dev profiles in the last 2 days.

A few honest observations:

1. Many people don’t have a proper resume at all.

Your resume is still the easiest way for someone to understand your work quickly.

2. A lot of CVs look AI-generated.

Too many em dashes, fancy terms, and generic lines.

Use AI, but add your own voice.

3. Experience sections are weak.

Most people write:

“Built frontend”
“Created dashboards”
“Worked on APIs”

But they don’t explain the impact.

What pain point did you solve?
How did it help users?
How did it help the company?

4. Formatting matters.

Your resume doesn’t need to look fancy.

But it should be clean, readable, and easy to scan.

Young devs need to understand this:

A good resume is not about sounding smart.

It’s about making someone trust that you can actually build.
