@MOB51@RoryStewartUK You know Rory Stewart is a Tory and ran for Tory party leadership. You know there is a whole fraction of republicans party called ‘republicans against Trump’. When things are going so poorly economically as pointed out above, the democrats really did have battle to win.
@dearaunty@RoryStewartUK The misinformation he spread about COVID gets here too, also trade barriers, his international policy, legitimising rhetoric about blood being dilated.
@fatima_medic @PKPlunkett I think there is a lot of fear around this, but I m not convinced that it is that hard for someone who has completed foundation to get a GP VTS rotation. We had a couple come and work with us at ST1 who hadn’t done a ward job in the NHS before.
@MunchkinDr@drraja_ It’s funny how these are competitive specialities, so the people wanting to do them can be treated poorly, but probably are some of the most talented doctors. I do respiratory, recruiting enough consultant staff isn’t always easy.
@BenAllenGP@dr_lungs If you flex your values to work with someone else, that is working from your values. You are valuing working with that individual and your relationship with them, more than your original value. I think this is fine as long as it is a conscious decision and you have peace with it.
@wendyburn What is acceptable to a GP to be asked to do following a hospital admission? Things I think I would be likely to hope for are repeat bloods, often in a week, possibly think about reinstating stopped meds… I have heard of a wellness check for vulnerable/EoL. Anything else
@jamesCgreen93@DrEilidhMaria Pharmacists prescribing is actually a good example of this. Most I work with still continue to do the pharmacy role, but will change prescriptions on ward rounds and do Totals
@MercurialRx @Dr_BellaR I would agree, having interviewed frequently for this type of post. In my experience less than 1/10 of those candidates will have actually completed F2
@KateBurkeNHS I had to suggest to rota team they made record of leave requests that came in before rota was written and then refer to it when writing the rota. It s a job with sometimes high turnover of staff. Not often connecting much with junior doctors personally. So dehumanised.
@stellacreasy Also assuming that is the woman is choosing not to have children till later, rather than they just weren’t in the right relationship till then.
New job!

This post would suit someone who has done F2 and wanted to pursue a career in either acute oncology or EM.
