When you ask someone to do their job for free, you’re not just undermining the time and effort it took that person to reach their current situation. You’re undermining the support of that person’s family.
S&C might be one of the worst offenders. People assume lifting weights is a hobby, not a profession. That programming, coaching eyes, risk management, continuing education, and years of experience should be “shared” because it looks simple from the outside.
But simple isn’t the same as easy. And easy isn’t the same as replaceable.
If it were just exercises, anyone could do it. Results would be universal. Injuries wouldn’t exist.
Expertise has value. So does the time it took to earn it.
This reel is based on a study comparing quarter, half, and full squat training and their transfer to sprint performance. (Rhea et al., Human Movement, 2016).
In that study, quarter squats produced the greatest improvement in 40-yard sprint time, while the full squat group

Not sure who gaslit the players to deciding this but it is a HORRIBLE decision
There hasn't been a SINGLE SOLITARY team to not participate in a bowl game/postseason that has gone on to win the National Championship the next year
NOT A SINGLE ONE going back >50+ years
Training at a high level YEAR ROUND is crucial for development at this level
Teams that are always winning and in the conversation take advantage of the extra practices and ability to train late into December/early January (with MINIMAL time off)
You don't give college kids extra time off away from the team and expect them to comply with workouts/recovery/nturition/etc and come back ready and in shape because THEY WON'T BE
Their last game was vs Stanford back on 11/29/25
They will likely reconvene for winter workouts on 1/12/26 (my guess)
That is 43 days off (~12% of their entire year GONE)
And you can't cram in all that missed training to make up for what you lost because if you do you'll end up setting the tone for injuries down the line
Since the CFP started they are 7-5 in postseason play (a little above average)
ZERO CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS
ZERO NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Thank you Maryville College. Officially entering the transfer portal as a graduate transfer with one year of eligibility remaining, pending my graduation in May. #transferportal
Have a great day, but also remember these things:
- Creatine is safe & effective
- Lifting does not “stunt growth.”
- If you can sprint & jump, you can lift
- Plyometrics shouldn’t be 20 rep sets
- You can condition w/o 3 mile runs
- Sport specificity is overrated
Carry on.
Evil is real. There is no doubt, the enemy is hard at work.
These last few days, the weight of evil has been heavy across our nation.
But this I know: It will not have the final word. One day, God will make all things right.
Until then, we pray. We weep with those who weep. And we keep fighting, knowing the victory has already been won.
What's missing from young athletes' lives these days? it's the fun stuff, it's the easy stuff, it's the stuff they used to do a long time ago but somehow got forgotten when everyone's driving to practice every night or playing intournaments all weekend...
It's the riding bikes
It's playing wiffle ball
It's going for a swim
It's wrestling with your friends
It's playing hide and seek in the neighborhood
It's pickup hoop games
It's football in the backyard
It's climbing trees
It's racing your friends
These activities were not only fun, but they also forged athleticism, competitiveness, and structural resilience. In the youth sports race to nowhere and injury epidemic, everyone forgot about the glue that held everything together.
PLAY!
Out on the recruiting trail…working…and I stumbled down memory lane/street 😉😎. Great times being back in K-town and reminiscing some of the good ole days 🏆🏆 @CHS_Bobcat_FB@KnoxCentralHS
Thank you @D1_HardinValley for working with me throughout the offseason special thanks to @TylerBost3 and @Jordan50Allen for refining my pass rush technique and run stopping ability. Over the the offseason my 40 yard dash dropped from a 5.1 to a hand times 4.87, and my pro shuttle dropped from a 4.7 to a hand timed 4.5.
@FarragutFB
After much consideration, I have entered the transfer portal with one year of eligibility remaining. I’m looking for an opportunity to continue my football career while pursuing a graduate degree in business. Open to all opportunities!
