Didn’t they recently switch the chemistry for the 4680? Those cells has become very useful, just need much higher production rates.
I figured it wasn’t for the future. Damage protection makes sense though since it’s a structural pack. Gas expansion is interesting though. I will have to look into that to better understand.

Mars is far sadly. Maybe they can get the price down and keep it down to prices like in February then I think it’d sell well. But even if it doesn’t it has provided a ton of great data and research that has spread into Cybercab, Semi, and you could even argue Optimus.

The half-full thing was more based off of the analogy from Sandy Monroe and his video. Higher power density cells would be the real trick

@JoshEAllen @MatthewDR Should have floored it! 😂 Kidding, but that is possible, it wouldn’t be the first time I have heard of kids trying to go to EMS cause a parent is hurt or something. Super rare. I don’t think FSD can really tell the difference. So many possibilities, which is why I am curious

@JoshEAllen @MatthewDR Possibly but typically FSD puts on blinkers and pulls over for police. Of course it also will awkwardly try to drive away before pulling over again. But also if the driver is unresponsive FSD will put on hazards and attempt to pull off to the side of the road to park.

@Myamaha62Randy @WaitWhat Right of way or not, the SUV can see the car that is in front of it putting on a blinker to get over. Now do not get me wrong. FSD is in the wrong more than that other driver, but unless they stopped teaching defensive driving they are both wrong in one way or another

For sure, but until they take more liability and this increase from L2 autonomy to higher as a result any human input is considered “law” to the system unfortunately. Which then leads us to having people pressing the accelerator and then blaming FSD when they crash. It’d need to be like the Robotaxis where the car allows no external input.
