By keeping the economy open, maintaining a low tax environment, and being fiscally responsible, Florida’s FY 21-22 surplus is the largest in state history — with more than $20 billion in reserves for a budget that is just a shade over $100 billion.
The attacks against me should be viewed through a political lens – this is their standard (despicable) playbook – but nothing will deter me from fighting for a good future and your right to free speech
.@elonmusk’s offer to buy Twitter is a good deal for shareholders and raises the prospect that the platform will be a place where free speech can thrive, not a tool for narrative enforcement.
The bill I signed today protects Florida parents like January Littlejohn. School officials manipulated her daughter to “transition,” calling her a male name & pronouns without January’s knowledge or consent. This is wrong & today’s legislation will ensure it doesn’t happen again.
In February, Florida:
- created 52,000 private sector jobs
- our unemployment rate fell to 3.3%, well below the national average
- employers have now added jobs for 22 consecutive months
By allowing men to compete in women's sports, the NCAA is destroying opportunities for women, making a mockery of its championships, and perpetuating a fraud.
In Florida, we reject these lies and recognize Sarasota's Emma Weyant as the best women's swimmer in the 500y freestyle.
It's crazy how we're guilty (including me) of sidetracking about the daily shit shows of life...Smollett/Alec/Cuomo etc...instead of the extremely important things like war with Russia/China/Ghislane trial etc...It's almost like they're distracting us on purpose. Ya think? Yep.
@tteezu I liked this point in their article, personally I love the outdoors, from fishing to hiking, even just the gym is a great way to get away from your screen for a bit.
@DavidMcGre The fact that these apps also sell your location information makes me question how helpful the information actually is for improving services, or if that is just an excuse to collect your data for selling.
@UsfMegan It is unsettling that the New York times was able to find so much information about peoples whereabouts without even tracking them with their own app, they found the information online from other apps.
Bloomberg: Business News is a comprehensive news app that focuses mainly on economic and financial news from around the globe. It gives a vast amount of in depth information from economies everywhere. @business
From the Seattle Times "Are apps becoming a human crutch?" "As an example, consider that many young people today have never had the
experience of getting lost." https://t.co/cqHNnr4YaC #DigitalIdentityS21003#EME4390S21003#DigitalIdentity
"Are such hyper-knowledgeable, hyper-personalized apps good or bad?" Apps have become incredibly intuitive, even being able to tell you when there is bad traffic and which route to take to arrive faster. With features like this it is easy to become too dependent on your phone.
The New York Times was able to track someone's location through a database, seeing everywhere she went from the dermatologist to her ex-boyfriends house. https://t.co/6p9PjJcHxj
"An app on the device gathered her location information, which was then sold without her knowledge." Apps on your phone have the ability to track your location, and these apps can turn and sell that information, which is a scary breach of privacy. #EME4390S21003#DigitalIdentity
Big Tech has become the censorship arm of the Democratic Party and political left, silencing and de-platforming anyone who rejects the chosen left-wing narrative.
Silicon Valley oligarchs shouldn't be the arbiters of free speech in our country. We must fight back!
