@TheSocialWork05@Senolteswer@SUSocialWork I can’t help but to link this to the holes in the criminal Justice system, particularly it’s prejudice/racist nature. If you look at the race of most school shooters, and look at who typically gets harsher punishments..
it kind of aligns unfortunately. https://t.co/G6EB7DGLWx
I really appreciate the acknowledgment of health disparities. Having access to health care does NOT equal having access to quality health care #SUSocialWork@Senolteswer
@MeggyMegs13 @megc1231 @Senolteswer@aplusk I agree. I recall going to a part of MD I hadn’t visited before and being told that was a high human trafficking area and I had no idea. It definitely is much closer than we all realized and awareness is essential!
@GovLarryHogan Governor, while implementing 100% reward match may help “catch” that particular criminal, any ideas on what can be implemented to proactively stop/diminish crimes as such from happening to begin with? Stricter gun laws perhaps? #SUSocialWork@Senolteswer
@Amdittsworth123@Senolteswer I agree. I watched this interview and was so touched by this story. However, one part that stuck with me was their mentioning of uncertainty and instability as they reached 21. Some truly never had the opportunity to escape “survival mode”.
#BREAKING NEWS: Kyle Rittenhouse cleared of all charges in shootings that intensified debate over vigilantism, guns and racial injustice.

Trigger Warning ⚠️ But this is exactly why house bill 1036 is so important. Any judge who oversees this case must look not only at the sheer abuse, but the trauma (for mom and child) that results from abuse. #SUSocialWork@Senolteswer
Former NFL RB Zac Stacy brutally attacked the mother of his child, punching her in the head before slamming her into a TV as their 5-month-old son sat feet away. https://t.co/JIwGDTltSD
@MeggyMegs13@basore_sarah@Senolteswer This is the first time I am hearing of gratitude month and I love the concept! Especially the morning text idea Megan. I want to try that!
Judge Schroeder referred to a Black juror from a previous case as “a black, the black, the only black.” I have no words. This judge continues to show us EXACTLY where he stands. His remarks are highly offensive & extremely inappropriate!
This video discusses the history of violence towards black people. My last tweet discussed violence towards black people that is still happening, 102 years later. This is very informative and is also why schools need to cover important topics as such #SUSocialWork@Senolteswer
We hope that this series helps us all learn about things we may not have learned in school. Like in this episode, we’ll focus on the heightened levels of violence that erupted into a series of riots across the nation in 1919, also known as the Red Summer. https://t.co/SpPAAkbLze
This is unreal and unacceptable. These teens were very intentional and I hope they receive an appropriate consequence that serves as a lesson. Otherwise, I couldn’t even imagine what type of adults they will grow up to be #SUSocialWork@Senolteswer
@MikeSW321@Senolteswer I completely agree! Furthermore, with more/standard regulation, we likely would see a change in the disproportionate rates of minorities who are sentenced to harsher punishments.
@Amdittsworth123@Senolteswer Wow. The concept of making rehabilitation programs profit-focused was bad enough. But for the programs to not even provide proper evaluations and services to those in need who sought help is unbelievable.
@Jasz_SOWK@Senolteswer This is a clear depiction of how racial profiling can be so dangerous to minority groups. These petty offenses should not result in a murder. And for the officers to justify it by saying the victims’ cars were weapons is simply distributing.
@MeggyMegs13@Senolteswer I love this! What a great way to reach underserved populations. The article mentions even connecting them to educational resources to further their education. So many families can benefit from this!
