Sure, fair enough. For me it has enough of a sense of community and regular activity for it to be a suitable replacement. Though I'm not a daily contributor here and there are undoubtedly different considerations for creators.

@EvaSilvertant @AlexDrawsLettrs I tried hand tracing something similar recently and found that when transferring a vintage offset print in to clean, sharp vector lines it just looks bad for all of the imperfections, rather than having an imperfect charm. A very difficult thing to get right, it would seem.

@EvaSilvertant @AlexDrawsLettrs One of them is a 1995 reprint. I would be surprised if live trace existed then in vector software, but perhaps it did. The roughness is inconsistent though; I would expect the serifs on the smaller text to be rounded away.

It looks as though 'Learning Morse' is the same type that was used for the Wireless World magazine title.

@EvaSilvertant I use a Canon LiDE 400, which I bought based on reviews praising it as a great scanner at a modest price.

To be honest there aren't many things I scan that are a single page, so I'm generally unimpressed by results but...I guess that's not really what they're for so fair enough.
