My current read about a true American hero, Major James Capers Jr, though he denies the notion of being a hero

A REAL, live American hero that wasn’t created by Hollywood, but by strength, perseverance, determination, loyalty, patriotism and faith. He broke bias and prejudice.

He’s a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, a husband, father, a patriot, a warrior who has dealt with the tragedies of his military and personal life, always depending on his faith in God to guide Him through the storm. A must read.

My own father went to Vietnam at age 19. I always like to read the stories of those who served. I know very little about my own Dad as he died from alcoholism decades ago. I have his letters home from Vietnam and some pictures. They are treasures.

I never knew of or heard of Major Capers until @ShawnRyan762 had him on his podcast. That interview was excellent. Afterwards I knew I needed to get his book.

@realDonaldTrump Major Capers is now 87 years old. Now is the time to award this man and hero, The Medal of Honor! His actions deserve his ability to have it hung around his neck and not given posthumously!🏅🎖️ 🇺🇸 🙏✝️
