Halfway through our third week on strike and it is cold, rainy, and windy. Our members are weathering flu season as best we can. If you’re unable to join us, please share the link to those that might be able to help us provide support to our families in need.
It is no great secret that the corporate media is not particularly sympathetic to unions and the needs of the working class. CNBC’s Jim Cramer’s recent comments are an example of that. Here’s how @UAW members responded.
Let's show Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan that we support striking UAW workers by calling as many phone numbers as we can. Unity and perseverance make us strong and will send a strong message.

🚨NEWS: While pretending they can’t afford pay increases for workers, the Big 3 automakers just committed $5 BILLION to stock buybacks that enrich shareholders & execs.
The companies also reported reaping $21 BILLION of profits in the first half of 2023. https://t.co/ZG1p6qiJPG
"Unlike past leaders, who tend to go quiet during negotiations, Fain has remained vocal, often throwing barbs at the companies and speaking candidly about their bargaining proposals."

The votes are in, and the results are astounding: 97% of Big Three members voted YES to authorize a strike if the automakers don't give us a fair deal.

.@GM and @Ford made over $100 billion and $75 billion in profits in the last decade, and @StellantisNA made nearly $18 billion in 2022 alone. Workers make those profits possible but are left behind. I stand with @UAW workers in their fight for a fair contract.
