@MacLeodLisa Hmmm. Did you do downtown during the convoy? I did. I went to see what it was like, not to participate. My honest reaction was that I wanted to bring my mom. It reminded me of her bringing me to winterlude as a kid. Pretty opposite of your description... you weren't there.
@LeiperOttawa I noticed a change in culture where you guys don't just blindly believe anything and everything staff tells you no matter how obviously untrue it is. Maybe that's the best thing they came from Amilicar. Who knows. "Thanks to staff", lol.
@ScottSoBad13@StuntmanStu Exactly this. Any other country would be in the streets with pitch forks by now. It is beyond clear, with the level of failure and clear lack of planing that the main purpose was not transit. It was to create a multi billion dollar project as a way to move money around.
@JCHIANELLO@NCC@en Anyone else notice how dirty the 417 is? Especially out towards vars? There is garbage in every 10 foot square of the ditches and centre medians. No snow being plowed. No grass being cut. Cant pick up litter? Also shows our new litter-culture well!
@claud334@future_widow@JCHIANELLO@DanTaekema They're building 7 stations between Quebec City and Toronto. This isn't a commuter train. Secondly, they're not going to build the stations in the middle of no where, or on garbage dumps, where it's cheap to live.
@claud334@future_widow@JCHIANELLO@DanTaekema How does it give someone a better job? Also, the real estate value around the stations will probably drop, not increase. Go look at the "real estate" on Tremblay road near the via station. Far from "high end" lol.
@kursdragon@JCHIANELLO@DanTaekema I suppose I'm in favour of it. But in more in favour of other things first. I think that's the part Canadians forget about.
@jiggly_the_puff@Daksurr@JCHIANELLO@DanTaekema If it takes you 15 hours to drive anywhere along this train's corridor, it makes a whole lot of sense why you would think this train is a GREAT idea.
