Happy Birthday ACT! ACT is 40 years old today. On October 15, 1982 I first publicly rolled out the model underlying ACT (nee "Comprehensive Distancing") in a colloquium at Broughton Hospital, Morganton, NC entitled "Cognitive distancing and psychopathology".
