Minister of local government Hon @BalaamBarugahar almost fainted In Mitoma District after finding out a “confusing building like store” named hospital that costed tax payer 59 million.
Unfortunately enough it has never opened since day of completion to date : the minister has taken interest in investigating if there is any health workers posted here and getting paid by government and what goals and objectives where given to construct a non functional facility

Evelyn Namara is a technology entrepreneur and digital inclusion leader with extensive experience spanning fintech, internet governance and digital transformation across global and African markets. She serves as a Non-Executive Director at KCB Bank Uganda, where she chairs the Board Risk Committee, providing oversight on enterprise risk, governance and digital financial services.

Evelyn is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of QAIRU, where she is building an AI-powered business operating system designed to support African enterprises in managing finance, inventory, compliance and customer relationships through conversational platforms such as WhatsApp and Telegram.

She previously founded and led Vouch Digital, a regulated digital payments platform that enabled governments, NGOs and development partners to deliver traceable digital transfers. Under her leadership, the platform processed over UGX 4 billion in transactions and supported more than 250,000 beneficiaries, including smallholder farmers, through partnerships with organisations such as the World Food Programme and Mercy Corps.

Evelyn has held global roles with the Global Digital Inclusion Partnership and the Alliance for Affordable Internet, managing donor-funded programmes supported by institutions including the World Bank, USAID and the Gates Foundation. Her work has focused on expanding internet access, shaping digital policy and advancing meaningful connectivity across emerging markets.

She also served with the Internet Society, where she managed a global community spanning over 100 chapters and contributed to policy advocacy on internet access, cybersecurity and digital rights.
Evelyn holds executive training in social entrepreneurship from INSEAD and governance programmes from Strathmore Business School.

She is widely recognised for her leadership in digital innovation, financial inclusion and technology-driven development.

Let me tell you why Sports Betting is not for the faint hearted & why it should only be done when you have some few shillings you’re happy to lose.

I placed a bet on a game, all I needed was a single goal to be scored in the first half. Seemed very straight forward. The game ended 4-0. Excellent. But guess what, all 4 goals were scored in the 2nd half!

You’d think that should teach a normal human being a lesson. No chance. I went ahead & placed a bet on another game. This time I wanted a single goal to be scored in the second half. By half time the game was 2-2. Easy money, right? LOL. Far from it. That turned out to be the final score. No goal was scored in the 2nd half.

Colleagues, indulge in sports betting only and only as a recreational activity & not as a source of income otherwise you’ll end up in a mental institution.

When I left KB at 4.30pm, he still could not walk or talk. At lunch, I fed him soft food with a spoon because his arms and hands remain very weak.

High Court presided over by His Worship Kintu Simon Zirintusa, a Registrar of the High Court of Uganda (Civil Division) at Kampala has adjudged Dr. Jimmy Spire Ssentongo afoul of “contempt of court” — for a tweet.

One of Uganda’s most respected lecturers, cartoonists and public voices has been ordered to pay 30 million shillings, or be committed to civil prison for three months, because he spoke publicly about money Kampala International University refused to refund or transfer — money belonging to the sons of his late brother.

This is oppressive Court order is a gag order dressed in legal robes. It is an attack on freedom of expression, and on every Ugandan’s right to ask a powerful institution to account for how it treats the people in its care.

The one man demanding accountability is the one facing a prison cell. When a university can walk into a courtroom and walk out with the power to silence, intimidate and threaten to jail a prominent lecturer and national figure — what fate waits for an ordinary student who dares to disagree with it? What happens to the current and former students KIU has oppressed, who have no platform, no name, and no one watching?

WE SHOULD RAISE THE MONEY. He must not be silenced. Our voices matter. I need your help here. In the words of Miria Matembe, we must all be annoyed. Give me ideas on raising the money and challenging the KIU impunity.
