design dictates behavior- 95% of the roads are given given to vehicles, expect it to be filled with vehicles. Pop density is a real issue but vehicle first approach makes its worse- the quality of life for everyone will increase when people can walk/ ride a bicycle safely even with this number of people in Male/Hulhumale- kids can rides a bicycle with parents for school drop offs- much bigger cities are doing it and no place more ideal than Male’ to be people first city design but most people are vehicle brains.
