In #Baidoa this week, 20 members of #SouthWestState police took part in a three-day, @UN-backed workshop on leadership and code of conduct – they focused on enhancing good governance and #accountability skills to better serve communities and protect human rights.

In #Mogadishu recently, @MojSomalia and @UN judicial experts concluded a two-day workshop with young legal professionals, media experts and university students from #Banadir - the gathering provided an opportunity for #Somali youth to share views on the #justice system for inclusion in #Somalia's first national Justice Sector Strategy and a federal Justice and Corrections Model.

Having professional corrections officers helps promote rehabilitation, reduce recidivism and pave the way for a safer society - recently, in #Kismayo, experts and officials from @MoJCAJubaland, @UNODC and @UNSomalia concluded a five-day workshop to empower 30 ministerial and #Jubaland Custodial Corps staff members with dynamic security training aligned with #MandelaRules, relevant laws and #humanrights.

18 young #Somali climate change activists recently wrapped up a @UN-supported three-day training session in #Mogadishu on digital storytelling and climate change - the capacity-building equipped the participants with new skills to document and share digital stories of those affected by #climate change to help raise awareness of its impact on #humanrights in #Somalia.
