and the fastest way to turn on neuroplasticity is replacing “this is hard” with “what’s the first step?” you literally shift brain activity from your amygdala (fear) to your prefrontal cortex (problem-solving)
I remember when this guy started a channel to teach people how to make money, and people dragged him.
“if you know so much about money, why aren’t you rich?” 😂 Meanwhile, the guy was already a billionaire.
If people can drag Ray Dalio, a billionaire investor, then who the hell are you?
Put August 12 in your phone now. Genuinely.
Before sunrise, six planets spread across the sky. Afternoon, the eclipse. After dark, the Perseids Meteor shower.
Four events on one day, NASA says, and the new moon that same date keeps the sky dark enough to actually see the meteors.
You don't need a telescope for most of it. A field, a coat, and twenty minutes for your eyes to adjust.
You’ll go to sleep then somehow wake up to a coin at 183mil on bnb and look at the name and it’s genuinely some bullshit like
The steady horse outruns the sprinting bear while it runs with its head under the window
Conduct an experiment:
Pretend.
Pretend that you’re capable of more. Pretend that you’re destined for greatness. Pretend that everything you do will work out perfectly for you, with or without your conscious effort applied. Pretend that every single thing in the universe is coordinating together for your maximal growth and enjoyment.
Just pretend.
This video is the most goated video on whole internet I have ever seen,
It really opens up your mind about how capable our brain really is and we truly undermine its ability,
I truly reccomend this to everyone who is in any phase of life.
how to embrace discomfort long enough to build a life you no longer need to escape from:
- stop treating discomfort as a sign that something is wrong. sometimes discomfort is literally just the feeling of outgrowing yourself. the old version of you wants familiarity. the new version requires uncertainty.
- learn the difference between comfort and peace. sleeping all day, getting high, scrolling for hours, staying attached to people you know aren’t right for you, avoiding the work you promised yourself you’d do. these things can feel comfortable without bringing you any actual peace.
- keep the promises you make to yourself, especially when nobody is watching. go to the gym. do the work. study. write. put the phone down. follow through. every tiny act of self-discipline becomes evidence that you can trust yourself.
- stop using other people to regulate how you feel about your life. attention, validation, relationships, praise, being wanted. none of it can permanently fill a life you don’t feel connected to. build an internal world you actually enjoy living inside.
- accept that becoming someone new will feel lonely sometimes. you will outgrow habits, environments, relationships and even versions of yourself that once felt like home. you don’t have to run backward just because the unfamiliar feels empty at first.
(I def have more so I may make a part 2)
