Natalie, whenever the fight for Udney Park starts to wear us down we think of your inspiring example to everyone that cares about community sport and social well-being. Congratulations to our local (National) hero
Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone that took the time to vote for me. I won!! I am @thetimes Grassroots Sports Woman of the Year! This is for ALL the horse women who get up in all weathers & dedicate their lives to our 4 legged friends.
Thank you @munirawilson for your unstinting support. We will never give up until Udney Park is owned and run by the community for the community, as the Asset of Community Value law directs and as the original War Memorial Charity that opened Udney Park in 1922 intended.
Udney Park Playing Fields in Teddington have been unused and derelict for over a decade. The community is desperate to buy it so it can be used for grassroots sports and other activities. The Government needs to rethink its planning laws so sites such as these can be used by all.
We have political unity ! Every candidate in Twickenham backs Compulsory Purchase of the Asset of Community Value that is Udney Park. 10 years lost is 10 years too long.

@munirawilson Thank you Munira, you are a great champion of Udney Park. After 10 years of lost pitches a permanent solution compliant with Asset of Community Value status is the only option.
Yet so many local sports clubs, including those with thriving junior sections, are desperately short of pitch time - which is why I’m backing the community bid to return Udney Park playing fields to the community for everyone to enjoy. https://t.co/2sbXONnpnS 🧵 2/2
Udney Park is an Asset of Community Value, a law for places that provide “social well-being”
How often must speculators hear “scandal & disgrace” and “foolish purchase”? See devastating news that a Mr Keith Williams is trying to buy Udney for profit.

@dj_zotov@CarlosNFFC Totally disagree. Real fans never boo their team. If you did boo after Everton please give your ticket to a real fan. The boo boys are the same people asking “where has the atmosphere gone” - you stirred the pot with your rubbish on X and FB
@hannahforest We’ve lost our atmosphere as the “Cooper out” brigade have short memories. If you were one of those that booed after Everton please stay away and give your ticket to a Forest fan
Spare us the preaching @savills You flogged off our local War Memorial playing field as an “investment opportunity” to an offshore speculator despite it being an Asset of Community Value. You are defined by your culture not your brochures.
Dive into the biggest issues confronting all areas of real estate in Savills Impacts. As businesses and people’s priorities shift more towards health, wellness and sustainability, the way we look at buildings and property has to respond to this. Read Savills Impacts today.
Congrats @friendsofGalmi1
We are 9 years into the battle for Fields in Trust protection and community ownership and are faced with a company that is based in the British Virgin Isles. We will never give up
Thanks @imperialcollege for selling our War Memorial Grounds,(a covenanted playing field endowed to you) to a UK speculator in 2015. In its Centenary Year the Park is derelict and sold-on to an offshore speculator after Public Inquiry & High Ct case. Your behavior was appalling
