Somalian forces from December 13th to December 22nd launched a large-scale invasion of the Puntland State, decimating the ex-Chinese ally, finally ending the Somalian civil war after decades of fighting.
The Southern Confederation has formed a provisional government, with the war against Biafra continuing. It is reported that fierce trench warfare is happening along that front.

NEW: The Supreme Court denies a stay of execution for Khalid Rahman, an inmate set to be executed in Missouri. Rahman had argued post-conviction comments by some elected officials rendered him ineligible for execution. No dissents.
The BOA has voted to invalidate the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC), which would effectively gut the PVI reforms that have been approved.
