Everyone is welcome to attend the RL project presentation we're hosting this Monday!
This will be especially valuable to any UVic software students, as you'll have the chance to get an in-depth understanding of the SENG 499 final project and how to find a solution using RL 🚀
@Mario_Gibney Tough/fun question. Existential catastrophe scenarios can quickly reveal someone's aversion to discussing uncomfortable topics from a curious point of view. Others that come to mind: why we value certain animals over others and the repugnant conclusion.
Another hot presentation coming up!🔥
This Monday, one of our members will be presenting on various methods and ideas behind pruning neural networks in order to reduce model size, improve inference speed, and prevent overfitting💪
Everyone and anyone is welcome to attend!🚀
First AI safety rally in Canada
On June 10, I was invited to speak at an AI safety rally in Vancouver. The event was focused on the need for international regulations to address extinction risk from AI. It's the first such event ever in Canada, and I thought it went well. 🧵
