Today is World Mental Health Day. The theme this year is - 'Mental Health is a Universal Human Right'. In South Africa, where only 1 in 10 people with a Mental Illness have access to treatment, the theme couldn't be more relevant. ⬇️ 💚

A discussion will follow the screening of the film as we unpack the intimate and at times, uncomfortable snapshots of motherhood in Alexandra, Johannesburg.
We are excited to share that Ububele is hosting a screening of the 1001 Days film, which follows our Home Visitors and a group of mothers in the project, as a fundraiser at the Bioscope Cinema on the 29th of August.
@Oprah was in attendance and spoke about the importance of creating informed responses to trauma and engaged the audience on conversations on trauma,resilience and healing. It was a meaningful and impactful experience and we are honored to have been part of the experience
