Objects of gilt #silver in the Cathedral of Aachen, Germany. The permanent exhibition shows impressive reliquaries of Charlemagne. Inside the Cathedral, it is the magnificent reliquary with the relics (clothing) of the Virgin Mary and Jesus. #MuseumsUnlocked

Huehueteotl, Old God or God of Fire, was one of the primordial gods of #Mesoamerica. He is represented in detail, with wrinkles and usually two teeth, and he carries on his head the divine bracero. There were sculptures of him from 500 BC to AD 1521 #MuseumsUnlocked #olderpeople

For me, this is one of the most beautiful Mayan sculptures. It represents an old god emerging from the snail shell. The ancient sculptors paid tribute to the #olderpeople #MuseumsUnlocked
