THRDC was honored to participate in the University of Dar es Salaam Human Rights Association (UDHRA) AGM on June 22, 2024, held at the University of Dar es Salaam School of Business (UDBS).
UDHRA is celebrating its 24th anniversary, having been established in 2000 to advocate for human rights, and provide education and awareness at the University of Dar es Salaam and in society.
The AGM was officiated by Advocate Onesmo Olengurumwa, THRDC's national coordinator and former President of the UDHRA (2007-2008). In his opening remarks, Olengurumwa emphasized the importance of young people in protecting and defending human rights. He reminded members of their role to promote and protect human rights.
Other special guests included Dr. Francis Luzige from the Commission for Human Rights and Good Governance (CHRAGG) and Ally Ramadhan representing LHRC.
THRDC continues to support HRDs clubs in higher learning institutions and support HRDs networks to make sure that issues pertaining HRDs are effectively and collectively addressed at grassroots, national and international levels. @CHR_HumanRights@humanrightstz@chraggtanzania

Ms. Nuru Maro, the Research and Advocacy Program Officer @THRDCOALITION her presentation focused on reflection of activeness and participation of Tanzanian Youth in exploring and using opportunies at national and global level.
"Students have been oversleeping, playing gambling games, unnecessary use of phone and stop coming to meetings and conferences but also they do not join various student associations. This mean that we are killing the 'future' of Tanzanians" said Adv. @olengurumwa2
Our Guest of Honour, Adv. Onesmo Olengurumwa @olengurumwa2 and the @thrdcoalition , He officiated the Annual General Meeting (AGM). He emphasized youth especially students to be active in protecting, promoting and preservation of human rights.
