Stop Context Switching: Directly Run ISO GQL Queries in VS Code
Ever caught yourself bouncing between your code editor and database client just to test a single query? That context switching kills your flow.
If you are using or evaluating GQL, the new ISO Graph Query Language for LPG graph databases, you can now write, validate, and execute queries right where you code with the Ultipa VS Code Extensions for ISO GQL.
Just search ISO GQL in the Extensions Marketplace and grab these two:
* ISO GQL Language Support: adds .gql file support and GQL syntax highlighting.
* Ultipa GQL Runner: lets you connect to Ultipa graph databases and run queries.
To run GQL queries, just them in your .gql file and hit Run. You will be prompted to pick a connection and enter the database user password. Your queries will be executed on the specified defaultGraph.
You can run multiple queries at once by separating them with semicolon ;. Each query result opens its own tab.
The extension gives you two ways to look at your results: Graph view and List view. In Graph view, you can drag nodes and edges around the canvas, and if you right-click on any of them, an info box pops up showing all their properties.

Here is the 3rd lesson: PATHs -- queries let you follow the connections—just like navigating a network, where the true power of graph(s) lie.

Here is the 2nd lesson on GQL: you'll learn how GQL models relationships in a graph using edge patterns, and how to retrieve edges with MATCH queries.

There are 3 things to pay attention to when we talk about Ultipa Graph system:
1. AI Acceleration: exponentially faster data processing;
2. AI Augmentation: graph-data modeling is inherently natural;
3. AI Explainability: white-box & explainable.
Graph Augmented Intelligence!
