@GraemeClark2 The proposal put forward by the Unblock the Embankment campaign isn't for those cyclists to return to their cars but for the route to be diverted through the City of London, along a less congested route.

It would go from Blackfriars Bridge, to Bank Junction, and then Aldgate.

Worth noting that this disgusting congestion is also caused by poor traffic light phasing to Westminster Bridge & the banned left turn from the embankment due to the CSH LANES truly appalling road & bus fleet mismanagement
