@LimitingThe Grid capacity is not likely to be the issue. It is local distribution, most notably the local transformers, that are more likely to be the pinch points. In many cities the average local transformer, which can serve up to 10 homes, is less than 50 KVA.

@SantoroSystems @RMT3Y99 We agree with you Matthew and will go further to say that 120 Volts is a viable option for many people most days. If there is no outlet already in place, the cost to wire 240 Volts (or 208 in Condos) is not much different than 120 and allows faster charging (when needed)
