Please help Dr. Rofaida with her tuition fees so she can complete her studies and become a doctor. A few days ago she performed a life-saving tracheotomy on patient. She is a wonder and gift to this world. Donate (if possible) and share/retweet: https://t.co/je1Gu963Xl
28th of this month—my radiology exam. Not just a date, it feels like a battle.
Studying from a tent, fighting fear, exhaustion, and everything around me—I’m just hoping to make it through.
In Gaza, even an exam feels like surviving a storm.

EXCLUSIVE: American citizen Sama Safi abducted by Israeli forces, detained without charge, medication withheld
Sama Safi, a 20-year-old American citizen and second-year Birzeit University student, was dragged from her family’s home in the occupied West Bank at roughly 3 a.m. on June 2 by about 10 Israeli soldiers. She has not been charged. Her family and the U.S. embassy were not told where she was taken, why, or for how long. Sen. Chris Van Hollen has publicly demanded her release, saying she told the soldiers she was American and they did not care.
Safi has familial Mediterranean fever, a chronic condition that triggers fevers spiking to 105°F and episodes of inflammation that cause debilitating pain. She manages it with daily medication and a quarterly injection she must travel abroad to receive. Her advocates say Israel has withheld that medication for days, and her family does not know her current health status. She was processed through Ofer military prison and is now held at the Moscovia interrogation center in Jerusalem.
Safi is one of four Birzeit students seized in the same wave of raids, alongside Jolan Abu Awad, Natalia Abu Dia, and graduate Laila Nael Khalil. The Israeli military said the women were suspected of promoting terrorist activity but has produced no public charges and gave the family no explanation beyond telling them they would find out in court. Van Hollen put the core issue plainly: the Netanyahu government takes American taxpayer dollars and then mistreats American citizens.
The cabinet official Van Hollen is asking to act, Marco Rubio, built the U.S. government’s most aggressive wrongful-detention apparatus — designating Iran a “state sponsor of wrongful detention,” the first country ever so labeled, and publicly welcoming Americans home from Iran and Afghanistan. That apparatus has never been aimed at Israel. Safi, an American, is held by a U.S.-funded ally that has not told her own embassy where she is.
This would not be the first time. In October 2025, members of Congress twice wrote Rubio warning that Americans detained by Israel had received minimal to no consular assistance, in contrast to other governments that immediately advocated for their citizens. Safi’s family are Florida residents, and Rubio is Florida’s former U.S. senator.
The question HNC12 is putting to his office and to the family’s congressional representative: has the United States requested consular access to Sama Safi, and has Israel granted it?
The official best positioned to act is from the same state as the family. Marco Rubio was born in Miami and represented Florida in the Senate from 2011 until 2025, when he became secretary of state — the cabinet officer directly responsible for protecting Americans detained abroad. Sama Safi’s family are Florida residents. Sen. Chris Van Hollen called on Rubio by name. The State Department’s only stated posture on her case so far is that it is “monitoring” it.
New ad with $600k behind it is out, backing @DarializaforNY.
It features Noor Khalil, Mahmoud Khalil's wife, talking about how Adriano Espaillat abandoned them when Mahmoud was snatched. Constituent service matters! This is from the anti-AIPAC super PAC

Today, we did not simply provide a pair of glasses to a child…
Today, we gave back a small part of life to young Ayoub Junaid.
Ayoub lost his glasses because of the bombing and destruction in Gaza. Since then, he has struggled every day, trying to see the world around him through tired eyes while living amid war, displacement, and fear.
When Ayoub received his new glasses today, they were not just a piece of glass…
They were a chance to see clearly again.
A small moment of hope in a life filled with hardship.
But the painful truth is that Ayoub is not alone.
There are thousands of children across Gaza living stories just like his.
Children who have lost their homes.
Children who have lost their schools.
Children who have lost their toys, their dreams, and even their most basic necessities.
And despite everything…
They still try to smile.
Today, we want to thank the friends whose voices have helped make moments like this possible:
🤍 @willmenaker
Your voice has carried the stories of Gaza’s children to the world. Countless children have received water, food, and emergency aid because you chose to stand with Gaza when so many looked away.
🤍 @ByYourLogic
Thank you for continuing to support Gaza’s children and helping keep their voices heard. Your support has given hope to families who felt completely forgotten.
🤍 @eyuplovely

Every pair of glasses…
Every meal…
Every drop of clean water…
Every piece of clothing…
Carries part of your impact.
From the heart of Gaza, we want to say:
You are not simply sharing posts.
You are helping change the lives of real children.
Today, Ayoub is only one of thousands of children still waiting for help.
💔 Thousands of children in Gaza still need food.
💔 Thousands still need clean water.
💔 Thousands still need medicine, clothing, and shelter.
Please do not leave them behind.

The silence from Democrats when Muslim colleagues and candidates are attacked is a cancerous rot.
We cannot lead our country out this moment if we're willing to accept the abuse or dehumanization of any marginalized group.
@HunterBiden@PolycomputingAI What about your father, you know who was president of the United States who supported Bibi Netanyahu and gave him all the bombs/weapons he asked for that made the genocide in Gaza possible?
Today, the @UAW announced their endorsement of our campaign for US Senate. I am so honored and humbled.
Michigan union autoworkers built the American middle class and proved that when people stand together, there’s nothing we can’t accomplish.
Solidarity forever.
The UAW is proud to endorse @AbdulElSayed for U.S. Senate.
UAW members in Michigan want a fighter in Washington, D.C. who isn’t afraid to push forward a strong working-class agenda with moral clarity. Having never taken a dime from corporate PACs, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed is someone we can trust to have our backs, including when we need it most – like come May Day 2028. From Medicare for All to banning stock buybacks, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed is ready, eager, and well-equipped to move our core issues in the U.S. Senate.
🔵 UAW has endorsed Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan's U.S. Senate race, giving the progressive Democrat backing from one of the nation's most influential labor unions.
On 31 October 2023, Dr. Hammam Alloh, a kidney specialist at Al-Shifa Hospital, was asked why he didn’t leave Gaza. Through tears, he replied: “If I leave, who will treat my patients?”
Two weeks later, Israel killed him. He was 36, leaving behind a wife and two young children.
Israel has arrested two Palestinian women’s national team players, Natalie Abu Dayyeh & Rand Al Halawini. The Palestine FA described it as part of the systematic targeting of their athletes.
Will the same media who were concerned about Iran’s women footballers say anything now?
So the “ceasefire” would effectively cede southern Lebanon to Israel without any promise by Israel to stop attacking.
Hezbollah has declined this offer.
Yesterday, the UN Human Rights Office reported that Israel is systematically targeting public servants in Gaza—collapsing public order—as Palestinians continue to be killed and maimed.
You might not know since it got no coverage. Because why would ongoing genocide be newsworthy?
if you oppose israel as a politician or a public figure, a lot of political operatives & mainstream publications will actively try to humiliate & make a lesson out of you. just remain steadfast and remember, no amount of manufactured outrage will wash the blood off their hands.
