Does your sport define who you are?
It is something you do, something you enjoy, something you may be good at... but it is NOT you.
You ARE a child of God; His beloved creation...who happens to love the sport of softball.
Don't worship the sport of softball; let softball be your worship back to the Lord!

Kendall Wells just broke the freshman HR record.
63% of her hits are home runs 🤯
The broadcast mentioned Motor Preferences — here’s what that actually means 👇
Motor Preferences = how your body naturally organizes movement.
Some hitters are:
– Terrestrial (more grounded, power from hips, prefer flexion)
– Aerial (more rhythm, power from shoulders, prefer extension)
Kendall organizes into her front side.
Her front leg becomes her axis of rotation, staying slightly open and allowing her to rotate cleanly and keep her hands free out front.
If she tried to rotate more around the back leg, her hands would get stuck behind her.
That’s not a flaw. It's how she creates power.
Different athletes need different solutions.

🚨 Next week, the DI Cabinet is set to review a proposal that would give student-athletes “five full years of eligibility from the time of their 19th birthday or their high school graduation, whichever is earliest. No waiver requests, redshirts or exceptions will be permitted, except for a small group of outliers (those on maternity leave, military service or religious missions)
🚨 JUST IN: President Trump signs executive order designed to SAVE COLLEGE SPORTS from a financial arms race
- Athletes can only transfer schools one time before they graduate without having to sit out a season
- Athletes can only play up to 5 seasons in a 5 year window
- Aug. 1 effective date
- Federal funding can be STRIPPED from schools who do not comply
Trump just followed through, this is what he promised!
🚨President Donald Trump has just signed an executive order to limit how long athletes can play college sports and how often they can transfer.
According to the order, athletes can play a maximum of five seasons during a five-year window. They can also transfer schools once without sitting out a season. Schools violating this risk federal funding.
Four ways to end procrastination:
1. Put yourself in a better environment.
2. Start with small goals.
3. Try harder to find motivation and be disciplined.
4. Find someone to keep you accountable.
As college softball season gets closer, I want you watching games with intention — not just as a fan, but as a student of the game.
Every inning is an opportunity to learn. Every pitch tells a story.
Here’s what I hope you’re paying attention to when you watch 👀👇
When you watch college softball, watch for:
• How players compete when things aren’t going their way
Bad calls. Tough innings. Errors. Notice who stays steady and who spirals.
• Body language between pitches and between plays
Confidence is quiet. Watch how elite athletes carry themselves even after failure.
• Communication
Infield chatter. Dugout energy. Pitcher–catcher connection. This matters more than you think.
• Tempo and pace of play
College softball moves fast. Notice how prepared players are before the ball is hit.
• Defensive urgency
Every rep matters. No jogging. No coasting. Effort is non-negotiable.
• How hitters adjust
Early swings vs late swings. What changes after strike one? After an out? After an at-bat doesn’t go their way?
• Situational awareness
Score. Outs. Runners. Count. Great players always know the situation.
• Coach–player interactions
Corrections, encouragement, accountability. This tells you a lot about program culture.
• The little things
Backups. Cutoffs. Hustle on and off the field. These are the details coaches notice.
Watching with intention helps you play with intention.
If you want to play at the next level, stop watching passively.
Watch like a future college athlete.
Learn like one.
Prepare like one.
Everything you do in this process should be intentional — including how you watch the game.
