@MaxMMedeiros isn't this boros Vs goryo's vs weak affinity the format? those cards are entirely cracked, but Modern is a house of entirely cracked cards since mh3 and pulling something like kozilek's command out results in killing an entire archetype without anything filling the space

@SaffronOlive Pauper is the last bastion. I keep up with Modern because I like my decks and they only exist there, but I don't like the format at large as there are too many plays that "just win" regardless of what happened previously. Legacy... been a pretty rough set of years for curation

@NileJoanRivers @wizards_magic @SCGCON @noahbradley Axing the DCI was a total tragedy. People often cite known cheaters continuously appearing at events, but it gets far worse. My area has a person formerly banned by the DCI for physical fights, now it's up to the stores alone to keep them out. Noah should clearly be banned

@GavinVerhey The social media campaign around this combo is bizarre. The majority of casual players believe this teases a ban and will be upset if there isn't one. As a competitive player, I would have preferred being saved three weeks of work over being in this rush. Who is this for?

@xtracombatphase I agree, there are aesthetic and thematic reasons we are attracted to certain pastimes when spoiled for choice. I found SWU's gameplay compelling as an Mtg alternative at the bar, but the art style and inhabiting someone else's story rather than my own made the appeal fleeting

@MtgSodek Gruulscale is not handling the new full speed ahead meta super well imo. I've died on turn 2/3 enough times in the past month that I think Mono G is better positioned due to the sol land advantage, but overall it's back to decks with hand traps for me
