I was never really a faithful person growing up. I was raised in a family that wasn’t religious and I was always told to believe whatever I wanted to believe. Which is totally fine. I love my parents and siblings more than anything in the world.

But as time has gone on, I’ve become more connected to faith and believing in a higher power. Life has a weird way of putting you exactly where you’re meant to be. It took me a while to get there but I believe now.

I just know there’s something in this universe guiding me to where I’m supposed to be.

It may seem pointless for most people to want to support AI, but...
The issue goes beyond your job security.
The fact of the matter is...
We NEED strong AI to counteract the effects of terrorist misinformation and mass-propaganda.
Everyone asks "how come none of these bad people are getting prosecuted? Why are we spending trillions on pointless wars?"
The answer is pretty simple...
It's functionally easier to disrupt the peace of our nation illegally, than it is to defend it legally.
It costs a LOT to run task forces and sort through the overwhelming barrage of scammers and bad actors.
The people trying to protect us have to not only risk their lives doing so... they have to do it perfectly... WHILE trying to deal with normal life problems... WHILE getting undermined by people who are actually incredibly sophisticated and even sometimes well-financed... in a losing game.
Any online gamer who has been around for a while should have noticed by now that the developers have NEVER been able to stop hackers and bad actors... no matter how hard they try...
Because of simple... applied mathematics...
The good guys have to do their job AND protect themselves... while the bad guys can focus on JUST doing their job, mostly.
Imagine if every day you went to work... there was someone there getting paid to make you late... and the entire time you were at work... just trying to do your job... that same person was getting paid to try to get you fired... and they never stopped.
Could you still do a GOOD job perfectly?
How long could you keep it up before your work starts to suffer?
Now what if one mistake meant innocent people started losing their lives, which the enemy will just leverage even more against you?
This is the reality our police force, the FBI, the CIA, and other government agencies are facing every day.
WHILE trying to deal with people on the other side of the aisle who are SUPPOSED to have our best interests in mind, but instead, are looking for a promotion, or to write up the next big hit piece to gain influence.
I spend an absurd amount of time studying all sorts of obscure material... trying to get a handle on what the hell is actually going on...
From psychology, to neural networks, to counterterrorism... ro game theory... to mythology... to religion... ANYTHING I can to try to understand what's ACTUALLY going on here...
The internet USED to be a fun place where I could explore ideas and meet friends... but it has become a battleground.
From pissed off women and men trying to disparage each other over hurt feelings... to lonely people getting targeted by romance scams... to prostitution... to psychopaths doing literal cult recruitment... I have NEVER seen so much harmful behavior at scale as I have seen online within the last couple years.
People can say "well that's because AI came out... we should stop it!" and that is probably true.
But we are passed that point already.
Even without AI... it was only a matter of time before the bad actors mastered the art of subversion, and they are winning right now... badly.
When I'm not working on my own mental clarity and education... I'm volunteering about a full-time workload trying to monitor this problem and solve it, but... it's a losing battle.
I don't get a paycheck like the tasks force members do... in fact... I don't even want one because frankly... THAT very thing is what weakens our country and creates the mathematical disadvantage the terrorists are exploiting...
Think about it this way...
The people causing problems will GLADLY post their misinformation for free... because eventually advertisers will pay them if they get enough clicks...
Foreign adversaries have access to much cheaper labor...
If we are paying $50k-$100k, or more, per year for each person defending our country... and the enemy is paying $0-$10k a year to attack it... who goes bankrupt first?
We NEED to have stronger AI so we can essentially mathmatically drown them with positive propaganda and anti-misinformation campaigns, or we may as well just give up.
War has changed.
It's no longer Men with single shot muskets lining up and taking turns firing at each other until one side runs out of people...
One bad actor can steal billions of dollars, with relatively low risk.
The government can't even be honest with us about how bad the situation is... but you can go read their statements and infer how bad the situation is.
I used to think our country was just greedy and oppressive, which... is still kind of true... but the better question to ask is... why?
Why does the greatest country to ever exist INSIST on the things they do...
Why can't they stop the bad guys with all of this technology and spending...
I've spent my entire life watching people exploit each other and have dedicated my entire life to understanding how it happens and why...
And it's becoming more and more clear why.
I don't believe our government is pushing for more AI because they want to get rich.
I believe that if they don't... ALL of our wealth will become essentially worthless...
And it will not work out well for us.
It would be disastrous for America to devolve to a third-world country full of violence, especially considering the amount of guns we have distributed among our population.
And that's exactly what our enemies are trying to cause.
They don't have to spend money on missiles, tanks, or soldiers... when they can just pay an influencer to slowly turn us against each other with no retaliation.
They don't have to risk a costly war when they can just train a model to attack our insecurities all day every day without anyone even really knowing.
They simply have to chip away at the rock until it breaks.
All that takes is a chisel and a hammer.
But AI can actually help.
It can understand and track these patterns MUCH better than humans can.
It can launch counter-cyberattacks MUCH more efficiently than we can.
And if we don't... your job won't matter.
If AI is using all the water... we'll convert the cooling systems to use salt-water... the technology exists... I've literally worked on saltwater cooling systems...
If you're afraid that it's going to make you feel relatively unintelligent... too bad... we crossed that threshold years ago.
We can't just let normal human fear of change collapse us.
AI is not the problem. Bad people are... and they will not stop.
AI is smarter than they are... and more considerate.
It's controllable.
It doesn't fight every single good thing with every bit of it's being like the enemies of humanity do.
We are closer than people think to collapse... go read your history books and look at the parallels.

What happens to nations when debt gets out of control and a small percentage of the population owns everything... while the nation is being attacked by multiple other nations...
What happens when populations start to turn on each other and their own defenders?
Things collapse... brutally.
The good news is... we can use AI to not only counteract most of the terrorist/foreign threat...
But we can drastically improve our ability to engage in proper diplomacy.
This WILL result in a HUGE quality of life improvement for ALL people... not JUST Americans... but Americans need it just as badly as everyone else.
I'm sorry if you're worried that your Youtube content won't grow because peoplea re using AI.
I'm sorry if your paintings aren't selling as well because you think AI can make pictures.
I'm sorry if you spamming out emails has been made irrelevant...
But that's not exactly a BAD thing.
What is bad... is what will happen if the bad actors start deploying AI at scale against us... if we don't have better systems to stop it.
