Aston Villa have signed England youth international Brian Madjo from FC Metz for a fee in the region of £10million.
The 17-year-old forward has played five matches in Ligue 1 for Metz and has featured regularly for England’s Under-17 side, despite playing three times for Luxembourg’s senior national team.
Madjo, born in London to Cameroonian parents but who grew up in Luxembourg, is seen as a long-term investment by Villa rather than a player to immediately play a role in Unai Emery’s side.

🎙 Bayern CEO Karl–Heinz Rummenigge on players complaining about the congested schedule:
“I understand this argument. But the players and their agents have fallen into this trap. By demanding ever higher salaries, they are forcing the clubs to generate ever higher revenues. And where does this revenue come from? Through more games.
And that is why I say: we must sit down with all those involved and discuss without emotion what mechanisms we need to bring back more serious and rational times — including in terms of business.” ⚠️
Last week Mbuemo knocks the ball past Sanchez and is fouled. The ball deflects off Sanchez in the process. Straight red card.
This week Gyokeres knocks the ball past Pope and is fouled. The ball deflects off Pope in the process. VAR say no penalty, no card, not even a foul.
Jarred Gillet isn’t allowed to referee Everton games because they’re Liverpool’s rivals, so he can’t be neutral. But he is allowed to officiate games of teams in a title race with Liverpool.
He’s officiated 4 of Arsenal’s opening 6 games. This isn’t neutral. This isn’t fair.

Anyone who's played football will tell you having a coach like this sucks the life out of everyone on the pitch
I love Henry but this aint it. You can't expect everyone to be as good as yourself (99th percentile)
@REDactionAFC It’s the reactionary nonsense that just annoys me. Supporting a club used to be fun, now every game I hear fans just complaining at the most minuscule things. It’s like we play under a magnifying glass. Away games are a lot more fun, and have been for many years!
Gyok.
He’s never going to be that footballer with the amazing first touch, that drops into midfield and sprays a 40 yd diagonal pass into an on running winger.
He won’t be that guy that pull it out of the air and gives us a few coffee house tricks.
What he will give us is brute force aggressive runs towards the opposition goal with one thing in mind. Goals. He cares about nothing else, he’ll miss more than he scores, but top strikers do that.
I think big Vic is what we’ve been missing for years. A horrible, selfish bastard in front of goal. Embrace him.
