@UnrevealedHQ looks cool, but what is it exactly? 🤔
Are you familiar with Tinder? (I know you are 😘)
Imagine they want to introduce the “Super like 👍 ” option for all the romantic users of their app.
✨ Introducing @UnrevealedHQ 1.0 ✨
After almost 1 year in the making, Unrevealed is out of beta! And we are live on Product Hunt 😻 https://t.co/BuYGeQrqT5
How it started 🐣
A year ago, I was leading the Developer Experience at Maze, trying to improve the life and productivity of my fellow Engineers.
It kept bugging me how much complexity was involved when answering a simple question:
“Can this user use feature X?” 🤔
The complexity didn’t lie so much in the code itself, but in the fact that, most often than not, developers and non-technical stakeholders had to collaborate on this problem.
The tools we’re using to solve it are powerful, but don’t address that fact.
It shouldn’t require a Computer Science degree, pages of documentation, and 10 different steps to add a customer to a beta, run an A/B test, or simply check that a feature is enabled for a customer… but that’s what it feels like.
For years, we've been using feature flags to solve these problems. And they’re a great tool! But without the right data models around them, they're still a pretty primitive technology.
I wanted a tool with the power of feature flags, but that anyone could use. I couldn’t find anything out there, so I decided to build it myself. Unrevealed was born 👶
How it's going 💪
We started the private beta in April. After a few months of improvements to the product, and a summer spent bringing a whole new version to life, we are proud to call what we have built Unrevealed 1.0 🔥
Unrevealed is not just a tool for developers, anyone can use it:
🙅♂️ You’ll never have to “configure” a feature flag in Unrevealed
👉 Features simply get from one stage to the next when they’re ready
😌 You won't see any complex rules that don't matter for the sage the feature is in
But I didn’t leave a role in DevEx to stop caring about it, so we’ve got devs covered too:
🪄 Our SDKs are so simple they feel like magic
💅 They’re fully typed thanks to our code generator
🎛️ We have a Toggler component to switch features in dev or your preview environments
👨💻 You’ll get context about your features without leaving VSCode, thanks to our extension
Help us spread the word 🙏

Imagine your feature's lifecycle 🌱🌿🌴
Like you, a feature goes through different stages of its life.
Up to you to define them. 😎
For each stage, select the users who’ll have access to the features within it. 👀
As easy as that with @UnrevealedHQ
Is my sick feature enabled for this user? 🧐
Your code asks this all the time, so our SDKs make it simple
In love with TypeScript?
Our code generator will make them fully-typed, so you don’t make any tyops 🤪
We’ll even autocomplete your features 🔥🥵
Real Soon @UnrevealedHQ
Enable your next feature only for a percentage of users 🫣
Would you try a whole new recipe on a first date?
Or would you choose one you know people like?
It is the same for products, play it safe and test it first.
Coming soon @UnrevealedHQ 🥦💕
Friendship on the other side of the world 🌎
Belgians and Germans sharing Belgian & German beers at a bar called Zeitgeist
😍🍻

Enable your next crazy feature on specific users! 🎯
Would you recite your speech for the first time in front of 20k people, or would you practice in front of your friends first?
It is the same for products, test your new feature on a small sample first.
Soon @UnrevealedHQ 🤩
A lot of people have asked how @UnrevealedTech actually works. Fair question 🙃
I haven't had time to share more until now, and we couldn't have handled more demos/onboardings anyway
But you've waited long enough, time to give you a sneak peek of what we've been cooking 👇
