@Adirondak@hammjam_@GeorgeTakei You can’t be serious. If you can’t see the difference between the GOP allowing a member to put up a bill to expel a group of people and those Dems not falling in line to support a blank check for funds going to Israel, then you can’t be a serious person.
@Adirondak@existentialli@GeorgeTakei That’s how women lost the ability to decide their own pregnancy. With… it’s just one person. And there’s no pro-Hamas Democrats.
The death toll in Gaza has now exceeded 10,000 people, nearly half of which are children, and tens of thousands have been injured.
Hospitals have been bombed, meaning many of those injured lack access to care.
This must end.

@TheAtlantic@amandamull I loathe self checkout. It should be a convenience, instead it’s being rolled out on a massive scale. What’s happening to all the workers? Why is it the right place for me to checkout with a FULL cart of items?
@TheAtlantic@AnnieLowrey Airbnb is a convenient scapegoat. How dare people supplement lagging incomes? Or threaten the lackluster hotel industry? The housing crisis is more complex than blaming Airbnb.
@TheAtlantic@RadioFreeTom Thank you. I could write a book just about all my experiences of being a night person in a morning person world. And the morning people take it so personally when you don’t conform. I wish I could go back and advocate for my younger self in some tough situations I faced.
@anthelstein22@TheAtlantic@RadioFreeTom Yes! The truckloads of shame that’s foisted onto not morning people is, sometimes, insurmountable. Instead of just being a difference that can benefit, it’s often not recognized or belittled or subject of rude quips from morning people. Who promote other morning ppl.
@2oldtorocknroll@TheAtlantic@RadioFreeTom That’s just it. There’s hard work done at all hours and in all farms. This romanticism of the hard working farmer as the ideal leaves little space for others, just as hard working at different hours. It’s the shaming that goes with the morning person ideal that’s the issue.
@EPoeschla @TheAtlantic@RadioFreeTom It’s also unhealthy to be deemed broken or unhealthy your whole life because your circadian cycle is not a morning one.
@WalshFreedom No. Defending yourself… and defending yourself how you see fit are different. One is an extreme position. Explain, how the response makes anyone safer? How does this end in peace? How does this end? How will this grief manifest? You can’t be serious.
A horrifying and blood-chilling compilation of clips and verified quotes from the current Israeli civil and military leadership calling for the levelling of Gaza and/or the extermination of its "human animals." After seeing this, no one should believe any PR spin about "doing all that they can to avoid civilian casualties," "precision bombing" or worse still "the most moral army in the world." A significant proportion of Netanyahu's generals and ministers clearly want to wipe out the people of Gaza, or to ethnically cleanse them and drive them into the Sinai desert. Here is the evidence in their own words, recoded live on television.
I was sent to Congress to save lives, I was not sent to Congress to have my constituent’s tax dollars buy bombs to kill thousands of innocent Palestinian men, women, and children.
We choose peace and love.

Here is a sitting Member of Congress questioning the very idea that Palestinian civilians exist.
For the record, roughly half of the 2.3 million residents of the Gaza Strip are children. 70 percent are refugees.
There needs to be accountability for this downright genocidal rhetoric.
