🌊 Godavari Flood Rising at Polavaram. Godavari flood flows are steadily increasing at the Polavaram Project through Tuesday, August 25.

📈 Polavaram Spillway @MEIL_Group discharge trend:
• 9:00 AM — 2.16 lakh cusecs
• 12:00 PM — 2.39 lakh cusecs
• 7:00 PM — 3.34 lakh cusecs

The Spillway U/S level also rose from +29.20 m at 9 AM to +29.48 m by 7 PM, reflecting the strengthening flood wave.

Upstream at Bhadrachalam, Godavari stood at 27.80 ft at 7 PM, with a discharge of about 3.68 lakh cusecs.

🌊 With upstream flows continuing to move downstream, the Godavari at Polavaram is gradually swelling again, and the rising trend needs to be watched closely over the coming hours.

💧 Srisailam Reservoir | Inflows weaken, releases continue... 🌊💦🌊 The inflow trend into Srisailam Reservoir has declined sharply over the past five days, while downstream releases continue.

🔹 Aug 20: Inflow 66,385 cusecs | Outflow 53,754 cusecs | Storage 165.53 TMC

🔹 Aug 21: 44,720 | 54,349 | 167.49 TMC

🔹 Aug 23: 44,888 | 46,386 | 167.87 TMC

🔹 Aug 25: 15,363 | 44,953 | 165.14 TMC

📉 After touching 66,385 cusecs on Aug 20, inflows have fallen to just 15,363 cusecs today. With outflows nearly three times the current inflow, reservoir storage has slipped to 165.14 TMC, about 76.5% of its 215.81-TMC capacity.

🌊 Water level stands at 875.30 ft, against FRL of 885 ft. Power generation remains stopped at the Right Bank Hydel Station, while generation continues on the Left Bank.

The latest figures indicate that the recent flood spell in the upper Krishna basin is losing momentum, making careful management of available Srisailam storage increasingly important for irrigation, power generation and downstream requirements.
