scary fact: if you repeat a lie many times, your brain may start to believe it's true.
neuroscience suggests the brain does not only respond to what is objectively true. It responds to what is repeatedly rehearsed.
through neuroplasticity, repeated thoughts strengthen neural pathways; through predictive processing, the brain begins filtering reality around what it expects to find.
so even a belief that starts as "not true yet" can slowly become familiar to the nervous system.
and once something feels familiar, the brain starts treating it as more available, more possible, and eventually more real.
I LOVE neuroplasticity. It gives me so much strength to keep bringing a positive change in my life, to think that YES my mind is with me. My mind is not working against me, but with me. Slowly & surely, we'll overcome our challenges.
