In the quiet office in southeast Delhi’s Jasola, these women are paving the way for the freedom of thousands of others languishing in dingy brothels and as forced domestic workers and bonded labourers.
At least 15 more survivors are likely to join the mission in the coming months.
Under the supervision of an experienced fashion designer, We Power produces fine bags and beautifully crafted jewellery. Proudly donning uniforms representing equality at the workspace, the women now also rented accommodations they can call home and where their past no longer pursues them.
