Despite tremendous efforts under 🇮🇳@anupamifs’s presidency, CD failed to grant observer status to + than 40% of applications, incl. 15 🇪🇺 & NATO States due to 🇷🇺 veto.
🇧🇪 deeply regrets this politically-driven situation & continue to advocate for full participation of all States

We are deeply concerned by Russia's politically motivated decision to block observer status at the Conference on Disarmament for 15 UN Member States out of 37 requests, incl EU Member States & candidate countries. This goes against the spirit of inclusivity and multilateralism.
