When will the game be sufficiently grown? How do we measure it? And what parts of the game are we talking about, exactly?
Important questions from Mr. Big on last night's Live Show.
Kelvin Sampson didn’t inherit a winning program - he built one.
Houston had 1 NCAA Tournament bid in 21 years. Now?
• 8 straight 25+ win seasons.
• A yearly national championship contender.
Here’s how he built the most consistent program in the nation:

Nolan McLean with yet another tremendous effort, retiring 14 in a row to end his outing. Resilient after a tough 1st inning
6 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 3 BB, 7 K
Just an absolute difference maker in the rotation
McLean has a 1.38 ERA through 4 MLB starts. 🤠
8/30/2015 The Mets acquire Addison Reed from the Diamondbacks. Reed posted a 1.17 ERA in 17 appearances with New York to close out 2015. In his time with the Mets, Reed pitched in the most games (145) and had the third-lowest ERA (2.09) among National League relievers.
Right after turning pro Brett White developed a brain infection that ended up with him in ICU. For a short period he lost the ability to walk.
Today he Monday Q’d for the pga tour event in his home state. With his wife and three month old daughter watching on.
Pretty awesome
Two words that changed my life: Nobody cares. When you’re winning, nobody cares. When you’re losing, nobody cares. It doesn’t mean nobody loves you, it just means nobody cares about your life as much as you do. It just means that you are in control. It’s on you. Nobody cares.
Houston now has the longest active Sweet 16 streak in the country:
2019 — Sweet 16
2021 — Final Four
2022 — Elite 8
2023 — Sweet 16
2024 — Sweet 16
2025 — Sweet 16 (still dancing)
Houston has clinched back-to-back outright Big 12 regular season titles in its first two years in the conference.
It's time for the school to officially name the court after Kelvin Sampson at the Fertitta Center.
No play personifies Houston's program more than J'Wan Roberts' offensive rebound and put back to make the game 88-84.
Roberts simply out willed Hunter Dickinson.
Cougars win in double OT at Allen Fieldhouse.
