@violetbfox Yeah, I look forward to hearing managers get excited by it as though the problem we need to solve is too much human time spent on our records 🙄 and not that we've basically abdicated responsibility for our catalogue to vendors 🤦♀️
@CilipMDG#AGM will take place at 2pm on Wed 4th Sept '24 in the Wolfson Theatre, LSE.
There will be elections for committee roles & a guest speaker: Hannes Lowagie, Metadata Manager at the Royal Library of Belgium.
Free to attend; booking essential: https://t.co/DzSNATp5h9
@Tesco You need to make it clear when you make a change like AI following you around the shop.. The shop on High Holborn does it now, with zero warning or chance to opt out. If I'd realised I would t have used your shop --perhaps that's the point of not warming people.
@marksandspencer I'm not sure it says great things about your commitment to sustainability that you've removed the refill washing up liquid and other products from your Stratford Westfield shop. Back to plastic for me then, I guess.
@hannahfearn@CamillaWest@sharonodea I see where you're coming from but if there's something I love that everyone else doesn't, there's no way I'm sharing it in an icebreaker so it can be judged. This way round is much funnier and less stressful.
New @CilipMDG event aimed at anyone in the profession (new or experienced) interested in #cataloguing#metadata and #discovery and looking to expand their knowledge and network with colleagues.
Registration is essential as places are limited!

@thatguymark@clhubes I always buy presents for the bigger sibling(s) too, remembering that when my sister was born, I received the same from several relatives and friends of my parents. Including a necklace I then wore to my little sister's wedding many years later.
starting a cleaning service for people with ADHD. I won’t be doing any of the actual cleaning, I’ll just be calling you at random times to tell you I’m on my way to your house and I’ll be there in about 45 minutes
