Trump Administration Plays Hardball on Noncitizen Voting (news election integrity activists can use)

Jocelyn Benson claims Michigan is number two in the nation for safe and secure elections. She’s a complete fraud. Her claim is based on a 2022 study using criteria like voter turnout that have nothing to do with election integrity. Michigan elections are so secure, Benson lost in court on election integrity questions 9 or 10 times, and so secure the feds are sending election monitors to Detroit, East Lansing, and Lansing for the August 4th primary to make sure nothing goes off the rails this time. @pjcolbeck

U.S. Supreme Court agrees to hear RNC v. Mi Familia Vota, an Arizona case testing:
(1) Whether the National Voter Registration Act or a federal consent decree prohibits Arizona from requiring voter-registration applicants to produce “satisfactory evidence” of U.S. citizenship when registering with a state registration form; and (2) whether the NVRA prohibits Arizona from implementing a program within 90 days of a federal election to cancel the registrations of voters who are not U.S. citizens @ProjectVirginia

Very important case! RNC v Mi Familia Vota — cert. granted! We @CivilRights briefed the importance of this case. Clean voter rolls are essential to election integrity and voter confidence!
@VVRMMvmt Thanks @VVRMMvmt - I hadn't heard of "Ready to Register" until you posted this. We inspected hundreds of CVI/VPC filled-in absentee ballot applications in 2021, to provide evidence for the court case on SSN's that year. RTR incorporated in 2020 in Delaware but active now.
@VVRMMvmt Ohio Governor put out a warning linking RTF to Center for Voter Information & Voter Participation Center. All three organizations, including "Ready To Register" send pre-populated forms, either for registration or for absentee ballot applications.

Virginia Alert – ‘Ready to Register’, a third-party voter registration group (https://t.co/oihWC6Fkj4), apparently operates in Virginia. North Carolina authorities are warning that the group is generating complaints, raising privacy concerns, causing confusion, sending mailings to deceased individuals, possibly using outdated information, giving an incorrect return address for registration forms, and creating unnecessary work for election officials. Many thanks to the election activists on VVRMM’s national election integrity call for bringing this to VVRMM’s attention (one of the many benefits of the call). @ProjectVirginia@Article2VCP@MichelleMaxwell@christine_brim@ReidRevolution@ClarendonBros@virginiainsider@SchillingShow@JTitMVirginia@EpecTeam

‘I just considered myself a citizen.’ Australian woman followed through on voter registration prompts and, because no one stopped her, she continued to vote. Sorry, it doesn’t work that way. @MissGinaPeyton

Georgia candidate for Lt. Governor – Greg Dolezal - tests the ballot application system in the state and it fails. Even children signed applications for a mail-in ballot and guess what? They got them. @Nancylynn1010

Some Virginia activists claim state law has changed so that voter registration challenges must go to court (HB 640) and ‘Registrars don’t have to listen to citizens about anything, anymore.’ However, VVRMM’s research shows the bill giving rise to the latter claim was vetoed (HB 111) and the Governor’s Veto Explanation implicitly contemplates the continuance of citizens presenting death information to Registrars. Whatever else may be presented to the Registrars without going to court has not been litigated yet. VVRMM concludes it will be a while before the complete picture is known. Thoughts? @christine_brim
