Why does this matter?
Young dogs are often assumed to be protected once their vaccination series is complete. While this is true for most dogs, not every individual develops long-lasting protective antibody levels. Factors such as maternal antibody interference, individual variation in immune response, waning antibody levels or other factors related to vaccination may leave some dogs unprotected despite having been vaccinated according to recommended protocols
What do these cases teach us?
Both Zoey and Tokyo had been vaccinated according to accepted protocols. Yet when their immunity was assessed several months later, each lacked protective antibodies against at least one core pathogen.
Without titer testing, both dogs had been assumed to be protected based solely on their vaccination history.
These cases reinforce an important clinical message:
Vaccination does not always equal protection.
Individual animals can occasionally fail to develop an adequate immune response after vaccination.
The only way to confirm that a dog has developed protective antibodies is through antibody titer testing.
@FLPelusa17@NaziriteForLife@WallStreetApes Do you know of VacciCheck? If you don't, It is most likely a cheaper option rather a regular titer in the lab. However, it is for Parvo Distemper and Adenovirus. No rabies unfortunately.
@TruthCampaigns Titer testing matters. Core vaccine immunity can last 9-14 years (Schultz, UW-Madison). VacciCheck shows if your dog still has protection in 23 minutes—skip unnecessary boosters. https://t.co/ZOTZRcA07h #VacciCheck

You’re welcome. Well, even if you own pets yourself, you should know about VacciCheck and every pet owner. For me it’s a calling and a very important product, it’s good for elderly dogs as well - not every shot it needed.
As a networker it would be great if you spread the word about us if and when you see fit.
@sarahcosmixs Haha, glad Binx is okay! 😹 Fun fact: cats can have immunity lasting years after vaccination. Next time, ask your vet about testing Binx's antibody levels first — might skip the booster entirely. VacciCheck tests in 23 min. https://t.co/ZOTZRcA07h #VacciCheck
Hoping for rescue! 🙏 . Trinity, since you network with shelters I thought it is important for you to know about VacciCheck. Even if listed as vaccinated, unknown history of a dog means no guarantee of immunity. If a dog's history is unknown - Its also worth checking antobodies before automatically administrating a booster. VacciCheck confirms what protection mama & puppies ACTUALLY have in 23 min. https://t.co/5x5LNc86kT #VacciCheck
@VirginaRay57067 good luck to Oscar! Even if listed as vaccinated, shelter dogs' immunity isn't guaranteed. VacciCheck confirms what protection he actually has in 23 min. Peace of mind before intro to his new home. https://t.co/ZOTZRcA07h #VacciCheck
