Making sure our little Tigers know that they are important to our Bessemer City Football Family. We enjoyed watching the 7U Tigers in their first game of the season. ♥️ #BessemerStrong#TheCityFB#TigerPride
So powerful and so true.
Teachers are giving their all and doing everything they can to BREATH LIFE into the standards and BRING LIFE to academics.
With a passion to make an impact on their students and families from a distance.
For all you do to make a difference.
For all the ways you make tough days brighter.
For each time you show up for your Ss, together though apart.
#DearTeachers, thank you. And happy #TeacherAppreciationWeek.
So I’ve been thinking about using a raffle system to reward positive behaviors every week in the classroom....I created my own classroom expectation posters (The 3 Be’s: Be Responsible, Be Respectful, and Be safe) Thoughts?
One of my favourite topics to discuss with students is that of equality vs. equity vs. social justice. I think these Shel Silverstein Giving Tree visuals do a pretty great job.
#UABEEC301SUM20@PrinceEa After school, when my mom would ask me what I learned, I could never really remember anything specific! I wish school would put learning first , instead of testing and memorizing! This is what always made me feel insecure as a student :/

What is School For?
Every child has potential, and school should act as a place for students to thrive and grow, not simply be evaluated.
I want my students to view school as a place where we can come together and grow skills, ideas, and life lessons.
My goal is to help my students connect the dots, not just to memorize them. This video made me realize it is our job to see our students by their hard work! Not by their scores, not by their participation, but by the potential that each student has. #UABEEC301SUM20@PrinceEa
Teachers don’t realize that their students are going to the real world without any adult skills. Teachers don’t realize that their students are suffering with mental health. We need to start teaching our students how adult 101 how to cope with stress, or anxiety 101.
Lesson 3: Join together to raise your voice.
"You cannot work in isolation. Any teacher who has been successful with any movement was part of a larger group of teachers working together.” - Prof. Tondra Loder-Jackson
