As a part of its “GeM Seller Samvad” initiative, Government e Marketplace (GeM) has rolled out a series of bootcamps to facilitate the onboarding of Tamil Nadu’s sellers and service providers on the GeM portal.

Shri A V Muralidharan, Chief Buyer Officer (States & UTs), GeM, informed that a series of boot camps are being coordinated with State Government authorities to ramp up the number of #MSMEs across 30 districts of Tamil Nadu on GeM.

In this series, the first boot camp was held on 21st February, 2025 in Chennai, in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Small and Tiny Industries Association (TANSTIA). The event was attended by Smt. Vidhya, Regional Joint Director, Department of Commerce and Industry, Government of Tamil Nadu, Shri Arul, Ministry of MSME, Government of Tamil Nadu, and Shri C.K. Mohan, President, TANSTIA and over 100 prospective sellers.

This boot camp saw free registrations of 50 sellers. In addition to providing instant handholding support, Shri Vishal Kapil, AVP – Seller Management, GeM, led the workshop and delivered a comprehensive overview session, extensively explaining the GeM ecosystem, its features and functionalities.

Committed to empowering last-mile local businesses, GeM is set to hold the next such bootcamp in Trichy on 28th February, 2025. With support from its MoU partners, GeM is committed to foster inclusion at the grassroots level!

Government e Marketplace (GeM) organised “GeM Seller Samvad Uttarakhand” in Dehradun today to reach out to all Uttarakhand-based sellers, especially #MSEs, Women-led enterprises, #Startups, Farmer Producer Organisations (#FPOs), Self-Help Groups, etc.

The bootcamp aimed to address queries and challenges faced by local sellers in effectively leveraging GeM to scale their business. Various training sessions were conducted, followed by insightful discussion rounds. A dedicated Help Desk was set up to provide instant support to stakeholders. Many sellers & service providers were also onboarded onto the GeM ecosystem.

A highlight of the event was the Open House session, wherein sellers had the opportunity to raise questions, voice concerns, and provide valuable feedback directly to the GeM team. This open dialogue reaffirmed GeM’s commitment to continuously evolve its processes for an #efficient and #inclusive procurement ecosystem.

Government e Marketplace (GeM) participated in the CII MSME Procurement Summit, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in collaboration with the MSME Department, Andhra Pradesh, in Visakhapatnam, on 6th and 7th December 2024.

The Summit was graced by Shri Kondapalli Srinivas, Hon'ble Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of Andhra Pradesh, and Shri M. Ponnuswami, Co-Chairman, CII MSME Council, alongside industry stalwarts and stakeholders.

Shri Srinivas is an officer of the 1991 batch of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes). He is the Chief Negotiator for India-EU and India-UK FTA negotiations. He is also in charge of Special Economic Zones and Trade Intelligence & Analytics wings in the Department of Commerce.

With a wealth of experience and passion for innovation, Shri Srinivas is set to lead @GeM_India into an exciting new chapter of growth and success!
