Pour sa première mission au Tchad en tant que nouvelle directrice régionale de @WFP_WAfrica, Kinday Samba s'est rendue à Adré où le PAM intervient dans l'urgence et la résilience.

Elle y a rencontré les autorités et les bénéficiaires pour s'imprégner des réalités du terrain et garantir la continuité des réponses du PAM à l'est.

In Adre, at the Chadian border, I met Sudanese refugees who just fled the horrors of war at home.

UNHCR is playing a crucial role here, ensuring people find safety and protection, shelter and other vital assistance.

But it is far from enough, given the scale of this calamity.

Back from Chad, where I met our incredible teams on the ground.

I flew with @WFP_UNHAS from N’Djamena to Abéché — the only way to get there — to visit our largest logistics hub near the Sudan border.

With 1,878 flights to 23 destinations across Chad in the first half of 2025, UNHAS keeps aid moving — a true lifeline, here and in 21 countries, with nearly 60 planes in the sky every day.
