@LordPente @SahilBloom This is the truth. Not brakes! In fact the extreme engineering of Formula 1 doesn’t leave room for extras (they have been known to strip paint to save weight). So any system on the car is to make it go faster.

Brakes does fit the narrative though.

Wow! You wouldn’t believe the race was real and not scripted. Tough for #Hamilton, last minute luck for #Verstappen. Thankful to be able to follow #F1 this entire year and for last 20 years. It will be difficult to top 2021 for a while. What a sport!

Update: The Stewards also think the same. Although they did penalize Max by adding 10 seconds to his time. I wonder if they would have penalized him if he didn’t have a 10 sec buffer #f1 #Verstappen #Hamilton

Brake check or not? #verstappen had tapered off slowly but does slam on the brakes right before accelerating. Conversely #hamilton had plenty of time to pass Max as well and avoid the mess. I feel both were being naughty, trying to gain an advantage with DRS detection #f1

I feel this incident might end up capturing everyone’s attention. We shouldn’t miss on the precedents set by other overtaking moves. There’s hard defense and then there’s defense with intention of not making the corner which is becoming more common sadly.
