@GenomicsRaph Good luck on your final year of schooling! You are so close! I wish you best of luck with accomplishing your goal ! #prescottbiochemistry
@LukitschMonica Good luck with applying to PA school! One more semester of classes to go and we are officially done with our bachelors degree! Can’t wait to see what the future brings. #prescottbiochemistry
This summer I will be finalizing my application for PA school. I will be graduating in December and plan to keep working in healthcare until I hear back from PA school. I’m excited to what the future brings and good luck to you all! #prescottbiochemistry
@AlexWBiochem Good to hear that you will be continuing your research this summer! It is crazy to think that graduation is just around the corner! Best of luck with everything Alex! #prescottbiochemistry
@B603Zach Zach, I feel the same way! I have learned so much about twitter since this course started. I had used twitter before but never for school or learning purposes. I feel myself looking at science twitter pretty often and learning new things. #prescottbiochemistry
@MSimoesJunior Milto, I agree with you! protein synthesis is very important for the body. I think this course has made it easier to understand protein synthesis for sure! #prescottbiochemistry
My favorite concept to learn about in Biochemistry has been learning about metabolism. It most classes I learn about metabolism but I have never learned it this in depth. I have found myself understanding this concept a lot better. Specially lipid metabolism #prescottbiochemistry
@CoreyJakway Corey, this is a great article. It goes into a lot of detailed explaining carnitine metabolism which I found super interesting! #prescottbiochemistry
@Katel1092 Kate, this is a really great article! I have definitely never heard of this. It is interesting how things can be related. Breast cancer and HYP-PDT. #prescottbiochemistry
@CoreyJakway Corey, I completely agree with you! We have studied these processes in other classes but it has never been as detailed we are studying now. This makes it a lot easier to understand. #prescottbiochemistry
Whey Protein in Cancer Therapy: https://t.co/cqtyoSvOvQ this article discusses the use of whey protein in cancer therapy. It is being used to reduce the pain of cancer cachexia syndrome. I take protein myself so it was very interesting to read about it. #prescottbiochemistry
@Katrina_UNHM Hi Katrina! This is a very interesting article to read. The kidneys are so important to us humans and it is cool to read about other organisms kidney cells! #prescottbiochemistry
For all of us trying to write personal statements check this out ! This website gives you great tips and guidance to writing a good personal statement! @LukitschMonica@bryebarna@KatiePicard4 if you need help writing your personal statement check this out. #prescottbiochemistry
@KellyUNHM Hi Kelly! This concept of making "perfect" babies can be very disturbing and scary. A species needs genetic variation in order to survive this way it is most likely for a species to evolve and survive. #prescottgenomics
@Sabrina_unhm Hi Sabrina! I am glad you shared this! I love podcast and this one was very interesting to listen to. Genetic coding with human embryos is becoming more common as time goes on and it is interesting to see the research that is going into it. #prescottgenomics
Hi All! I am currently taking biochemistry and I am curious to know what's everyone's favorite part of biochemistry and what you found most interesting or helpful in the future? #sciencetwitter#prescottbiochemistry
@Just_AquaticN That’s a lot of Cyanobacteria. I recently learned a lot about cyano and how harmful it can be in the water! I found it pretty amazing and of course with my name being cyan I feel a stronger need to learn more about cyano! Hope the lake is cleaned out now! #prescottbiochemistry
