A beautifully curated list of resources on how to identify and address inequities in Global Health research and academia by Dr. @BHedtGauthier! Today's session facilitated by her was not only empowering as a Global South researcher but also introspective.
This was a challenge - in a good way - to continue to think about equity in global health research, and to push myself to dig deeper into the racist and colonial roots of those inequities.
A few of the resources I referenced in my slides: 1/11
Have you ever wondered how racism and power dynamics affect research and authorship? Do you feel puzzled on what to do about these inequities? If yes, come join the conversation with Dr. Bethany Hedt-Gauthier, Director of Research at PGSSC and Associate Professor at the DGHSM!
Youth are showing up in big ways at the outset of YOUTH DAY. Young people gathered in an action this morning to demand a Loss and Damage Finance outcome at COP27. #PayUp4LossAndDamage#COP27
