@jonathansamuels@SkyNews Hello.Jonathan, thank you - yes an amazing story, and that Colin is able, and willing, to share his memories. His story is my book, Remarkable Journeys of.the Second World War (pub. History Press) together with ten equally remarkable.accounts of strength and courage.
@BobRutler Hello Rob - Victoria here, Ranulph's mum ... thank you for having Ranulph as your guest on The Scrimmage - he loved it, can I contact you at the BBC ?
@GMB (No title)
Colin B. is as deserving of his BEM as he is of his DFC, received in WWII. Colin's war story is one of eleven true stories in my 'Remarkable Journeys' book, read about a fearful raid, training in the US, and why he loves the musical, Cabaret!

85 years ago today, Prime Minister Chamberlain declared we were at War with Germany ... saying "injustice, oppression and persecution" must be fought.

@christopherhope For what it is worth, I really don't give a monkeys what Matt Hancock thinks about anything at all. He has neglected his constituents completely and does not deserve to come back to 'represent' them at the House of Commons again. This is a time of sincere need and difficulty.
@christopherhope I do not think Rishi Sunak did look 'glum'. He may have looked serious, reflecting the responsibility of the position he has undertaken. It is time for journalists to take that seriously too and give him a chance. He has a huge job and needs to calm people. Thank you.
@christopherhope@Telegraph Real fear about what the future holds is gripping people's hearts. 'B.B.B.' what is this, some sort of a joke? Politicians have the most serious duty of care anyone could have. Journalists need to report sensitively. This is not a time for jokes, slogans or acronyms.
@TheHistoryPress@teadevotee@WomensHistNet Thank you History Press for publishing this book - containing true, heartfelt memories of the Second World War ... from dear, courageous women from all around the world. https://t.co/DvuPboGqwc
@christopherhope @SteveBakerHW @Telegraph I am a Party member and would still like the opportunity to vote for Penny Mordaunt. So many polls consistently indicated she was the first choice for Party members, in the run up to the final vote of Conservative MP's. I don't know what to do now, it is all very disappointing.
No doubt she’ll continue to serve this great country well. The decision now rests with members. I won’t be joining any camp. I’ll be spending my summer recess the way I always strive for - doing my best for #Carshalton and #Wallington.
