I get your point but my fear is that if we keep striping things from the traditions how much would be truly left? In a way that scares and saddens me but time will tell. Let’s hope for the best.

I guess the alternative would be to have ceremonies like we are flying with Aegean airlines. Greek followed by an English translation hahaha.

I cannot find the right words to describe the difference but as you said there is calmness.

I was born and raised in Greece and later came in the US. I am by no means an expert in Theology nor is it my place to comment on how things are done here to be honest as I am a guest. But I can definitely hear and feel the difference in the liturgy.

In a way it saddens me to see people stray away from the tradition whether it is not speaking the language or changing the liturgy. But as I said I am biased.

At the end of the day I am exercising our oldest tradition of fighting and arguing with my people ahhaha

That was the opposite of my intention thus why I said the teachings should be understandable.

The liturgy has a mysticism and a kind of 'music' that gets lost in translation, even into Modern Greek, let alone English. At least that is how I feel (I am biased for sure)

I could also argue that for many people that might be the only Greek interaction or the only Greek they hear.

I will play the devil’s advocate and say that the liturgy part needs to remain in Greek ( even non Greek speaking Orthodox churches like Serbian, Romanian etc keep that part). It survived unchanged during much harder times (e.g. occupation), it is a bit ridiculous in my eyes that we changed this tradition the last 10/20 (?) years.

The teachings parts should be in the native language whatever that is as people should learn from them

@PeakHobby @BosCardHunter Worst part is when they self sign or write giberish and then ebay or sellers are like “you picked it up” or “you signed”. Worst case was when I lost an ooyama pikachu psa 9 and the driver signed as me and misspelled my name 3 time, but ebay treated it as delivered

@realpeteyb123 I hear you, I was mostly curious on what you meant more aggressive. Like aggressive in terms of numbers (e.g. more batteries), in terms of adding more ranges (e.g. iron beam, arrow etc) or higher return to greek industry etc
